On Friday, September 14, at 8:00 pm, the Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago will host the world premiere of Band of Sisters, a documentary produced in Chicago about the remarkable journey of Catholic sisters in the United States from sheltered "daughters of the church" to citizens of the world. We are thrilled to be premiering the film at the renowned Gene Siskel Film Center, the most state-of-the-art movie facility in the Midwest. Band of Sisters will screen five evenings at the Film Center during the week of September 14-20. Director Mary Fishman will be present for audience discussion after the screenings on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Thursday. Tickets for Band of Sisters go on sale for Film Center members starting August 15 and for the general public starting August 17. Tickets are $11/general admission, $7/students, and $6/Film Center members. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Film Center Box Office, from 5:00 to 8:30 pm, Monday through Friday; 2:00 to 8:30 pm Saturday, or 2:00 to 5:30 pm Sunday. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster, 800-982-2787, www.ticketmaster.com, and all Ticketmaster outlets. Groups of 20 or more are eligible for the group rate of $8 per ticket.
